Dhaka division, currently in second place with 25 points, will not be able to surpass Sylhet even if they win their next round match.

Earlier, pacers Khaled Ahmed (4-18) and Tofael Ahmed (3-17) shared seven wickets between them while left-arm spinner Nasum took two wickets to reach 150 first-class wickets, as Barishal were dismissed for 142.

Sylhet scored 342 runs in their first innings, bolstered by four half-centuries, including a top-scoring knock of 64 by Tofael Ahmed in reply to Barishal’s 304, taking a 40-run lead.

Khulna pacers Al Amin Hossain (5-67) and Mehedi Hasan Rana (3-36) took the remaining Chattogram wickets early on Day 4 to clinch a 58-run win at the Sylhet Academy Ground.

Resuming the final day on 118-7, Chattogram managed only 145 in their chase of 204 runs; tail-enders Ashraful Hasan (31) and Ahmed Sharif (23) showed some resistance but eventually perished.

Earlier, Khulna scored 219 in their second innings with fifties from Anamul Haque Bijoy (75) and Sheikh Parvez Jibon (52).

The match between Dhaka Metro and Rangpur ended in a draw, despite Metro having the slight edge in the match at the Cox’s Bazar Academy Ground.

Resuming on 253-9, overnight batter Tanbir Hayder played a defiant knock of 71 off 208 balls and added a 50-run partnership for the ninth wicket with Nazrul Islam Munna (16) as Rangpur mustered 301 in response to Metro’s massive 475.
