After a run-soaring phase in Sylhet, the Chattogram phase of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League begins at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium today.
In the day鈥檚 first match, Fortune Barishal, who are currently in third place, will take on bottom-placed Dhaka Capitals at 1:30pm.聽
Later in the evening, second-placed Chittagong Kings will face Khulna Tigers, which will start at 6:30pm.聽
T Sports and Gazi TV will telecast both the matches live.聽
Sylhet hosted 12 matches where 9.26 runs were scored per over. Chattogram also have a record of high scoring, as the run rate here is 8.25 in BPL.聽
Tamim Iqbal-led Barishal have had mixed feelings in Sylhet as they won against Durbar Rajshahi and Sylhet Strikers while losing to table toppers Rangpur Riders.聽
Dhaka, on the other hand, have won only one match so far after losing six consecutive outings.聽
However, their last outing was a memorable one as they beat Rajshahi by a record margin of 149 runs, where both Liton Das and Tanzid Hasan smashed hundreds.聽
Chittagong are set to play as many as five matches. They have been on a winning run as they emerged on the positive side in their last three outings.聽
But the team will have to face some tough challenges as they take on the likes of Barishal and Rangpur later on.聽
Khulna, however, lost all three of their matches in Sylhet after winning the first two in Mirpur. The Mehidy Hasan Miraz-led team will need some great motivation to bounce back from that.
