Captain Nigar Sultana Joty smashed 102 off 115 balls as Sheltech Cricket Academy thrashed Kalabagan Krira Chakra by 126 runs to get back on top of the table in the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division Women鈥檚 Cricket League at the Bashundhara Sports Complex on Friday.聽
After being put into bat first, Sheltech put on 267 in 50 overs thanks to Joty鈥檚 hundred and Sarmin Sultana鈥檚 fifty (66 off 74), aided by Fahima Khatun (40 off 37).聽
Joty, who had made 80 in the previous match, reached her hundred in 111 balls. She struck 11 fours to play the knock while Sarmin hit eight fours and a six in her innings.聽
Suborna Karmaker, the left-arm spinner, took three wickets for Kalabagan.聽
Kalabagan, though, kept losing wickets after a brief opening stand of 37 runs. They managed 141 runs in 44.5 overs before being all out.聽
This was Sheltech鈥檚 sixth straight win of the season; they are yet to lose a match. Kalabagan, on the other hand, suffered their sixth straight defeat as they are yet to win one.
