Remittance inflow witnessed a remarkable year-on-year growth of a massive 78.4 per cent to $2,252 million in the first 19 days of March.

According to the Bangladesh Bank’s latest data, the country logged a total of $1,262 million during the same period of the past year.


Expatriates have sent remittances of $20,741 million during July 2024 – March 19 2025 period of the 2024-25 financial year, which was only $16,339 million during the same period of the previous financial year.

Accordingly, remittances have increased by $4,402 million or 26.9 per cent in a span of about nine months.
