Milestone College Dakshinkhan has recently held a fresher鈥檚 reception with the determination to realise the cherished dreams of an academic life on its campus in Dhaka.
The new students of Class XI in the 2024-25 academic year were ceremonially welcomed with floral greetings on Tuesday, said a press release on Friday.
Milestone College principal Mohammad Ziaul Alam was present as chief guest at the ceremony, which was presided over by the college鈥檚 Dakshinkhan branch principal Professor MA Mannan.
聽Directors of the Milestone College Dakshinkhan Falguni Adhikari, Md Motasim Billah, assistant director Bilkis Akhter and administrative officer Md Masum Reza were present, among others.
Welcoming everyone to the reception programme, Professor MA Mannan, in his speech, emphasised the responsibilities of college life, education and progress for a student.
He also discussed the environment, facilities and quality of education of the college so that students could improve according to their potential.
The true purpose of education is to develop people鈥檚 self-esteem, personality and self-reliance, said Mohammad Ziaul Alam. He also praised the founder of the college Colonel Nuran Nabi (retd) for the expected progress in academic and infrastructural and expressed his sincere gratitude to all the teachers, students and parents.
Students participated in the college鈥檚 cultural programme and presented a captivating programme, added the press release.
