The shooting of the film on Bengali mathematician and theoretical physicist Satyendra Nath Bose titled ‘The Man Who Pervades the Universe’ is scheduled to begin today.

Jointly directed by filmmakers Nirtesh C Dutta and Rumki Rusa, the shooting of the film will begin on the premises of the University of Dhaka marking the centenary of the Bose–Einstein statistics.

Rumki Rusa told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ· that they would focus on the journey of Bose when he taught at Dhaka University.

‘After conducting research on the great Bengali scientist, we are going to start the film’s shooting at the Curzon Hall of Dhaka University,’ said Rumki Rusa, adding that the shooting of the film on Bose’s Dhaka chapter would be completed in Dhaka.

It is said that SN Bose’s discovery is the biggest event in the 100-year history of Dhaka University, mentioned Rumki Rusa, adding, ‘We have taken the initiative to make this film to pay tribute to SN Bose.’

She also hopes to bring the one-hour film to the audience this year.

Best known for his work on quantum mechanics in the early 1920s, collaboration with Albert Einstein in developing the foundation for Bose-Einstein statistics and the Bose-Einstein condensate, Satyendra Nath Bose was a fellow of the Royal Society.

He began his teaching career at the University of Dhaka in 1921.

Kazi Rokhsana Ruma, a promising theatre activist, is playing an important role in the film.
