Bangladesh will begin their title defence of the SAFF Women鈥檚 Championship against Pakistan on October 20, as the seventh edition of the tournament is scheduled to be held in Nepal from October 17 to 30.

All the matches of the tournament will be held at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.

English coach Peter Butler鈥檚 side will face five-time champions India in their other Group A encounter on October 23, according to the South Asian Football Federation, which revealed the fixtures on Monday.

The curtain of the tournament will rise with the match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan on October 17, a day before Group B begins with matches between Sri Lanka and the Maldives and hosts Nepal against Bhutan.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals to be played on October 27 while the final will be held on October 30.

Bangladesh have fond memories of the Dasharath Stadium, as they defeated hosts Nepal 3-1 in the final to claim their first SAFF title under Golam Rabbani Choton in September 2022.

However, this edition was supposed to be hosted by Bangladesh, but SAFF was compelled to move it to Nepal in June due to a lack of infrastructure in Bangladesh.
