Khaled Mahmud resigned from the post of Bangladesh Cricket Board director on Wednesday.

The former Bangladesh national team captain was in different roles, including game development and cricket operations committee, after being elected director first in 2013.聽


Mahmud, who played 89 international matches for Bangladesh, also held positions as the national team鈥檚 interim head coach, manager, and team director in various terms.

During his tenure as the head of the game development committee, the Bangladesh U-19 team won the World Cup in 2020.

After the ousting of Sheikh Hasina鈥檚 government last month, an influx of changes has come into BCB.

Faruque Ahmed has replaced Nazmul Hasan as the BCB president after the latter resigned from the post.

Before Mahmud, Jalal Younus and Naimur Rahman had resigned from the role of directors, while Ahmed Sajjadul Alam had to go after the National Sports Council appointed Faruque and Nazmul Abedin Fahim as the two new directors.
