
State Reform Student Movement chief coordinator Ahmed Ishak and its economic coordinator Didarul Bhuiyan on Friday joined a tea party hosted by British high commission in Dhaka.
Senior governance adviser to the high commission Neil Gandhi and its political councillor attended the meeting, a press release said. The leaders of the State Reform Student Movement thanked the United Kingdom and other friendly countries for their contribution to the Bangladesh’s ‘second independence’ achieved under the leadership of students and mass people.
They said that the government of Bangladesh wanted to remain in power at any cost, while there was enough scope for them to loot and launder money abroad.
They also sought cooperation from friendly countries to bring the laundered money back to the country.
Welcoming the people of Bangladesh on their second independence, the high commission assured of providing all-out support in achieving all rights of Bangladeshis in the future.
