Ambassador and head of delegation of the European Union in Bangladesh, Michael Miller, on Tuesday said that the EU fully supported the ongoing reform processes in Bangladesh.
He expressed his satisfaction with the reforms while meeting professor Ali Riaz, the chief of the constitution reform commission at the commission鈥檚 office on the Jatiya Sansad premises.
During the meeting, Riaz briefed Miller on the ongoing constitution reform activities.
He said that the commission was determined to complete the reform work within the stipulated time frame. The EU ambassador assured him of comprehensive cooperation regarding the reform of Bangladesh鈥檚 constitution.
On the EU mission鈥檚 verified Facebook page, a message was posted after the meeting, saying that inclusive governance and reforms that uphold pluralism, fundamental rights and independence of institutions, including the judiciary, are indeed essential for Bangladesh鈥檚 transition.
