Writer Sanjida Shahid鈥檚 new collection of short stories titled Alaktak is now available at different bookshops.

Published under the banner of the publishing house Annesha, Alaktak contains 16 stories depicting social anomalies, plight of the marginalised and others. The cover of the book has been designed by artist Charu Pintu.


鈥楢part from stories on love, social and religious superstitions, psychological conflicts, I have focused mainly on stories related to the struggles of people, their dreams, their brevity, their limitations, among others,鈥 Sanjida Shahid told 抖阴精品.

Sanjida also mentioned that she took three years to publish the book after her debut collection of short stories titled 鈥楢tmaja鈥 got published.

Speaking about the stories, the writer mentioned,聽 鈥業n the title story 鈥淎laktak鈥, I have portrayed religious superstition, while the story 鈥淪antahar Jangshaner Apeksha鈥, centring on the progression of two characters鈥 relationship, deals with internal and external obstacles to be together.鈥
