The Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) has appointed Rear Admiral SM Moniruzzaman as its new chairman and he joined office on Monday in Chattogram.
Omar Faruque, secretary of the CPA, confirmed the news.
Omar said that Rear Admiral SM Moniruzzaman joined in place of Rear Admiral M Sohail.
SM Moniruzzaman was the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation鈥檚 managing director before this appointment.
He was the managing director of Dockyard and Engineering Works Limited in Narayanganj.
