The government has appointed Muhammad Syed Ali, deputy secretary of central digital cell of the commerce ministry, as administrator of the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh.
The commerce ministry on Wednesday issued a circular in this regard signed by its additional secretary Naznin Kawser Chowdhury under section 17 of the Trade Organisations Act, 2022.
The circular said that the new administrator would hand over the responsibilities to the newly elected body of the organisation by holding a free and fair election within 120 days and thus apprise the development to the ministry.
