The inauguration of the exhibition of 11th cycle of the Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture took place at the Institute of Architects Bangladesh in Agargaon on January Thursday.

The exhibition, showcasing the submitted projects, will remain open until January 6 from 3pm to 8pm daily.


The exhibition was inaugurated by professor Abu Sayeed M Ahmed, president of IAB, and Md Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, chief operating officer and director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited.

The exhibition features 72 projects submitted for the 11th BAEA competition, among which six award-winning projects are highlighted including ‘A Home For Memories And Daydreams’ by Studio Gumtee Ghor, ‘Rupgaon’ by Perceive + ASP, ‘Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited Unit -17 Multipurpose Industrial Building’ by Neoformation Architects, ‘Ajo Idea Space’ by Group of Architects and Thinkers, ‘Golpogriho’ by Induscon Architects and ‘Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed Park’ by VITTI Sthapati Brindo Ltd.

M Masud Ur Rashid, general secretary of IAB, Asia Karim, award director, other members of the jury, senior officials from Berger Paints Bangladesh, among others, were present at the event.

The BAEA, initiated by Berger Paints Bangladesh in collaboration with the Institute of Architects Bangladesh, aims to recognise exceptional contributions to the field of architecture and honor outstanding architectural works.
