
Dhaka Bank PLC on Sunday distributed modern agricultural machinery among 450 local farmers at Sirajdikhan Upazila in Munshiganj as part of its social corporate responsibility, said a press release.
Agriculture adviser Lieutenant General Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retired) was present as chief guest at the event.
Among others, Dhaka Bank managing director Sheikh Mohammad Maroof, founder vice-chairman ATM Hayatuzzaman Khan, director Altaf Hossain Sarkar and Munshiganj deputy commissioner Fatema Tul Jannat were present at the event.
The agricultural adviser said in his speech, ‘The use of modern technology and machinery is very important for agricultural development. This initiative will help bring positive changes in the agricultural sector of Bangladesh.’
