
CORR-The Jute Works on Thursday held Fair Trade Thanksgiving and Packing Opening Ceremony 2025 at its office at Gulshan in the capital Dhaka, said a press release.
CJW chairperson and Caritas Bangladesh executive director Sebastian Rozario presided over the event.
Bishop Subroto Boniface Gomes, Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General, Archdiocese of Dhaka, was present as chief guest.
Notre Dame College, Dhaka principal and CJW board of trustees’ member Hemanto Pius Rozario was present as a special guest.
CJW deputy director Uzzal Theotonious Corraya delivered welcome speech.
The guests appreciated the efforts of CJW for worldwide presentation of Bangladeshi crafts and culture, the release said. They also recognised CJW’s contribution for earning foreign remittance and development of the country as well as financial self-reliance of the poor and underprivileged women and widows by creating a supplementary source of income and ensure their social dignity.
