Md Maksudur Rahman Sarker has been appointed as chairman of SBAC Bank PLC鈥檚 board audit committee, said a press release.
The decision has been made during the bank鈥檚 189th board meeting held recently.
He is also serving as independent director of SBAC Bank and chairman of Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the Dhaka University.
He completed his bachelor of commerce (honours) and master of commerce degrees in accounting from the Dhaka University. He later obtained an MBA in finance from the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
He is also a chartered financial analyst (CFA) level-1, awarded by the Association for Investment Management and Research (USA) and completed a professional cost and management accountant degree from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh.
