
The meeting of the Bangladesh Board of Unani and Ayurvedic Systems of Medicine was held on Wednesday morning at the association鈥檚 office under the chairmanship of joint secretary Mallika Khatun, chairman of the board.
The meeting was attended by chief motawalli and managing director of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh Md Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan, senior members of the board Md Mizanur Rahman, AKH Mahbubur Rahman Saki, Saleh Md Abdur Rahman, Motaleb Matin, Hakim Kamrul Islam Nabatati, Hakim Moksedul Alam, Nur Mohammad Iqbal Chowdhury, Professor Ataur Rahman, Hakim Md Kamruzzaman, Shyamal Prasad Sengupta and others.
The meeting discussed various issues including improving the quality of Unani-Ayurvedic medical education in the country, taking initiatives to modernise the existing ordinance of the board and convert it into the Unani-Ayurvedic Medical Education Act.
Updating the salary structure policy of teachers, officials and employees, and modernising the policy for establishing private Unani-Ayurvedic colleges were also discussed.
