Agrani Bank PLC organised a seminar titled ‘Awareness about Risk Management in Banks’ at its training institute in the capital.
The event was chaired by Agrani Bank chief executive officer Anwarul Islam, with Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed, chairman of Agrani Bank, attending as the chief guest. Board member Mujaffor Ahmed delivered the keynote presentation.
Senior officials, including board members, deputy managing directors, and general managers, were present.
The keynote speaker emphasised the importance of effective risk management, covering topics such as economic capital measurement, balance sheet management, capital adequacy under Bangladesh Bank guidelines, and the role of management officials in mitigating risks.
An interactive question and answer session followed, where the chairman and experts addressed critical queries.
The seminar concluded with key recommendations to strengthen Agrani Bank’s risk management framework and adapt to future banking challenges.
