
Defending champions Bangladesh emerged six-team Pool A champions of the fourth Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi Tournament after beating Nepal by 46-31 points with three lonas in their final pool match at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Friday.
Bangladesh, who confirmed their semi-final berth after beating Poland 79-28 earlier on Thursday, led the first half by 18-14 points.
In their other pool matches, Bangladesh defeated Indonesia 59-19, Malaysia 73-22, and South Korea by 67-22 points to collect 10 points from five matches.
Despite losing the match, Nepal, confirmed their semi-final berth of the 12-team tournament after collected eight points from five games.
In the semi-final, Bangladesh will take on Pool B runners-up while Nepal will play Pool B champions on Sunday.
The Pool B champions and runners-up will be decided after today鈥檚 matches at the same venue.
