
Bangladesh made a dismal start in their first-ever women鈥檚 kabaddi Test series as they lost to Nepal by 41-18 points in the first of the five-match series at the Lainchaur Covered Hall in Kathmandu on Sunday.
Nepal dominated the first half by 18-6 points with one lona and continued their dominance over the visitors for the remaining part of the game with two more lonas.
The next game of the series will be held today, while the other three matches are scheduled on April 22, 24 and 25.
Both Bangladesh and Nepal women鈥檚 teams are competing in a Test series for the first time as part of their preparation for the Women鈥檚 Kabaddi World Cup to be held in Bihar, India, from June 1 to June 8.
Tanka Lal Ghising, member secretary of the National Sports Council of Nepal, inaugurated the meet as the chief guest before the start of the first match of the series.
Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation secretary SM Nawaz Shohag and All Nepal Kabaddi Association secretary general Arbind Kumar Jha were also present during the opening ceremony.
