A FOUR-day printmaking workshop titled ‘On the Trail of Planography’ conducted by internationally acclaimed artist-art educator Sheikh Mohammad Rokonuzzaman is under way at the Cosmos Atelier71, Cosmos Centre in Malibagh, Dhaka.
Eleven Bangladeshi artists from diverse backgrounds have participated in the workshop organised by Gallery Cosmos. It focuses on exploring plate lithography techniques in printmaking.
Artists Abu Kalam Shamsuddin, Boni Adam, Chitram Sen Anik, Iqbal Bahar Chy, K Zaman Shimul, Kamruzzoha, Palash Baran Biswas, Rezwanur Rahman, Rumana Rahman Rani, Salma Zakia Bristy and Sohanur Rahman are participating in the workshop, which was inaugurated on Friday morning.
Artist Rokeya Sultana, photographer Nasir Ali Mamun and chairman of Dhaka University printmaking department Ashmita Alam have participated as guest artists at the workshop.
The artworks produced during the workshop will be exhibited soon, said the artistic director at Gallery Cosmos Sourav Chowdhury.
The workshop will end today.
