The Office of the Regional Director, Directorate of Archaeology, Khulna and Barisal Museum jointly organised a programme in Barishal city to observe International Museum Day on Saturday.
Archaeology department officials, teachers, students and others participated in a procession, led by the regional director of the department Lovely Yasmin.
The procession was brought out from in front of the Barishal Museum on Saturday morning.
A discussion was also held on the museum premises.
Assistant custodian of Barishal Museum Arifur Rahman conducted the discussion.
Barishal Museum began its journey in 2015 under Khulna divisional office of archaeology department.
Professor Dipankar Chakraborty, Professor Tapankar Chakraborty, BM College history department Professor Masud Ahmed, Government Muladi College Professor Marjan Lulu, archaeology researcher Arif Babu, among others, participated in the programme.
