Registration for the second nationwide cultural competition titled ‘Shilpakala Protijogita’ is now open.

The competition, scheduled to be held in three age groups, will feature ten categories, including Nazrul Sangeet, Rabindra Sangeet, Loko Sangeet, Ganajagaraner Gaan, Sadharon Nritya, Laka Nritya, Shastriya Nritya, Solo Recitation, Solo Acting and Drawing. Participants will be divided into three age groups.


The announcement was made at a press conference held at the Seminar Hall of the National Theatre Hall at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Wednesday.

The BSA director general, Liaquat Ali Lucky, chaired the press conference, which was moderated by the BSA public relations officer Sabina Yesmin Puthi. The BSA secretary Salahuddin Ahammad also spoke at the event.

‘The district rounds of the competition will end on June 25 and the final round will be held in Dhaka in July,’ said Liaquat Ali Lucky.

‘Each district-level winner will get a crest, certificate and books. We hope that a large number of child artistes will participate in this nationwide competition,’ ended Lucky.

The competition will be held for residents of Dhaka North City Corporation on June 7 and Dhaka South City Corporation on June 8.

The final for Dhaka district will be held at the BSA on June 11.
