The Jatiya Mukti Council on Tuesday on the government to find out Michael Chakma, who went missing in 2019.

The party made the demand at a protest rally in front of the National Press Club in Bangladesh capital Dhaka with its secretary Faiezul Hakim in the chair.


Faiezul Hakim said that Michel, the United Democratic Front general secretary and Mukti Council central leader, went missing on April 9, 2019, from Kanchpur in Dhaka.

The family of Michael Chakma has had no trace of him in long five years, Faiezul said.

He called on the government to find out Michel Chakma and return him to his family.

Trade Union Federation leader Delwaer Hossain, student leader Amal Tripura, Quaiyum Hossain and others addressed the rally.

The rally was followed by a protest procession.
