The Workers Party of Bangladesh, a partner of the Awami League-led alliance, on Wednesday called on the government to form a ‘special commission’ for investigating corruptions and misuse of power of former chief of Bangladesh Army, Aziz Ahmed, and former inspector general of police, Benazir Ahmed.

The politburo of the party, in a statement referring to the huge corruptions of Aziz and Benazir, said that the Anti-corruption Commission would not be able to investigate the corruptions properly.

So, the government should form a ‘special commission’ to curb mass corruptions in the country, the statement said. The party called on all the political parties and organisations to come forward against the mass corruptions those tarnishing image of the country in home and abroad.
