
Former Juba Mohila League leader Shamima Nur Papia was released on bail from Cumilla Central Jail, after serving three years and four months in jail in six criminal cases.聽聽聽
Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, the senior superintendent of the jail, told 抖阴精品 that they freed Papia from the jail at about 6:05pm on Monday after verifying her bail in six cases.
Papia was sent to the Kashimpur Mohila Jail on March 11, 2020, and she was later shifted to the Cumilla Central Jail on July 3, 2023.
She was jailed for 20 years for possessing illegal firearms.
She is facing five other cases, mostly related to amassing illegal wealth and money laundering.
On February 22, 2020, the Rapid Action Battalion arrested Papia and her husband at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport with counterfeit banknotes, foreign currencies, and some cash.
