
Jatiya Mukti Council demanded immediate resignation of Awami League government on charges of recent killings to control students’ movement for quota reform in government jobs.
President of the organisation Badruddin Umar and secretary Faiezul Hakim, in a statement, said that Sheikh Hasina government had showed atrocities to control peaceful movement of the students and killed over 150 people amid the unrest across Bangladesh.
The leaders called on all democratic and progressive political parties to be united to wage movement to compel the government to resign from power and form a democratic one to ensure people’s democratic rights.
