
Leaders of different political parties on Wednesday welcoming the victory of 蝉迟耻诲别苍迟蝉鈥檓辞惫别尘别苍迟蝉 called on the authorities concerned to take immediate steps to stop countrywide political and sectarian attacks on religious minorities and vandalisms.
The Workers Party of Bangladesh, a partner of the Awami League-led alliance, welcomed the victory of the movements that demanded the resignation of the Awami League government for ordering indiscriminate killing of citizens of the country.
In a statement, the party politburo expressed concern over creating countrywide political confrontations, sectarian attacks and vandalisms after the resignation of the AL president Sheikh Hasina as prime minister on Monday.
The party demanded to take immediate steps to stop the anarchies and save the life and wealth of the people of the country.
Demanding the early formation of the interim government, the Ganosamhati Andolan also urged to take steps to stop the political confrontations and sectarian attacks on religious minorities.
In a press statement, chief coordinator of the party Zonayed Saki and executive coordinator Abul Hassan Rubel said that the responsibility of the interim government would be the country鈥檚 democratic transition within possible shortest time.
They instructed the party leaders and activists to form volunteers committee countrywide to stop such confrontations and sectarian attacks to save the people.
The Communist Party of Bangladesh president Mohammad Shah Alam and general secretary Ruhin Hossain Prince in a press statement expressed concern over political confrontations and sectarian attacks after the resignation of Sheikh Hasina.
They called on the concerned authorities to take steps to stop the attacks and vandalism and form interim government immediately, holding consultations with the democratic and progressive political parties.
Socialist Party of Bangladesh general secretary Bazlur Rashid Firoz said that the victory of the movements of students and people might not be tarnished holding the anarchies.
He also demanded the formation of interim government immediately.
The Bhashani Onusari Parishad will hold a rally in front of the National Press Club at 11:00am today, demanding to take immediate steps to stop political confrontations and sectarian attacks.
The central leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at a meeting also called on the authority to take steps to stop sectarian attacks on religious minorities.
It must be our responsibility to save the people of the country from any sectarian attacks on religious minorities and save their properties and wealth, they said.
The Islami Andolan Bangladesh, in a press statement, also demanded stopping sectarian attacks on Hindu minorities.
