A group of leaders of Hasanul Haque Inu-led Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-Jasod on Saturday declared its president Inu and general secretary Shirin Akter unwanted persons, occupying the Gulistan party office in Bangladesh capital Dhaka.
The Jasod leaders urged all activists of the party to unite.
In a press release, the leaders recalled the contribution of their party in the democratic movement against all dictators in independent Bangladesh.
The party split time and again because of some leaders who deviated from the ideology of the party.
Inu and Shirin betrayed sacrifices of the party鈥檚 leaders and activists and amassed huge wealth and property by supporting fascist Hasina over the past 15 years, the statement said.
The statement said that Inu openly supported the government in its attempt to suppress the uprising by opening fire on students and children.
The action angered the protesters who set the Jasod central office ablaze and vandalised it, the statement said, adding that Jasod offices were attacked in many districts.
Inu and Shirin has gone into hiding to avoid public wrath, the statement said, adding that they took position in the office at 5:00pm.
