The Workers of Bangladesh politburo on Tuesday expressed concern over including the name of its president Rashed Khan Menon in two cases field on Monday.
A partner of the Awami League-led alliance, the party politburo in a press statement said that the Workers Party took stand against 13-point demands of the Hefazat Islam but the party or its president Menon had no connection with the steps of the law enforcers to disburse the Hefazat rally at Motijheel.
The WP, moreover, wanted peaceful solution of the Student Movement Against Discrimination and welcomed the victory of the student movement.
So, the name of including Rashed Khan Menon in the International Crime Tribul of killing students and people in the movement would not be acceptable, the politburo said.
Mentioning the success of the interim government, the party hoped that the government would refrain from taking any step, which had no basis.
