
The Jatiya Party chairman Ghulam Muhammad Quader at a meeting on Friday instructed the party leaders and activists to stay beside the flood-affected people of Bangladesh.
Chaired by GM Quader, the JP organised the meeting at the office of the party chairman in Banani in the capital.
Quader said that the party men already started working for the rehabilitation of the flood-affected people and also distributing relief among them. Â
Several districts of the country, including Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Cummilla, Brahmanbaria, Chattogram, Moulvibazar and Habiganj, are facing sudden flood.  Â
‘If the Professor Muhammad Yunus-led interim government wants, we will extend our hands to help them to overcome the flood situations,’ Quader added.
Secretary general of the party Mujibul Haque Chunnu said that the Indian government had open gates of their dams without informing government of Bangladesh, and it was violation of the international river law.
Co-chairman of the party ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader, presidium members Syed Didar Bakth, Mostafizur Rahman, Rezaul Karim Bhuiyan, among others, attended the meeting.
