
The Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JSD president and freedom fighter ASM Abdur Rab has said that there is no scope of creating controversy on the settled issues of the War of Independence.
While speaking at a discussion organised by the party at his home in Uttara in Dhaka on Saturday, Abdur Rab said that some issues of the country like name of the country, national flag, and national anthem were settled during the war.
‘So, there is no scope of creating controversy on the issues,’ he mentioned.
Referring to the demand of certain quarter changing of the national anthem, he said that the people of the country would not accept such proposal.
He called on the party leaders and activists to work for implementing the spirits of the student and people movement of 2024 for establishing rights of the people.
Chaired by the party’s Dhaka City coordinator Kamal Uddin Patwary, general secretary of the party Shahid Uddin Mahmod Shapon, senior vice-president Tania Rab, central leader Siraj Mia, among others, spoke at the discussion.
