
A murder case was filed against 36 people, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, former minister Obaidul Quader, former MP AKM Shamim Osman, for killing a person named Badiuzzaman during the anti-discrimination student movement in Chashara area of Narayanganj.
The victim鈥檚 wife Aduri Khatun filed the murder case Friday night with Narayanganj Sadar model police station.
Officer-in-charge of the police station Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter.
The other accused are Shamim Osman鈥檚 son Ayan Osman, nephew Ajmeri Osman, Narayanganj city Awami League organising secretary Zakirul Alam Bhuiyan Helal and Narayanganj city Jubo League president Shahadat Hossain Sajnu.
According to the FIR, a group of AL leaders and activists on August 5 attacked the students of anti-discrimination student movement in front of the gate of Shaheed Minar of Chashara area in the city. The attackers hurled cocktails and beating them with sharp weapons which injured Badiuzzaman.
Later, Badiuzzaman was taken to a hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
