Leaders of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-JSD on Thursday at a commemoration meeting remembered the role of labour leader Mohammad Shajahan in establishing rights of workers of the country.
Leaders of JSD placed wreaths on the grave of Mohammad Shahjahan at Martyred Intellectuals Graveyard in Mirpur to mark the 32nd anniversary of death former president of the Jatiya Sramik
Jote and held a short rally there.
General secretary of the party Shahid Uddin Mahmod Shapon said that freedom fighter Mohammad Shahjahan worked for establishing rights of the workers of the country.
He called on party leaders and activists to follow the ideals of Shajahan for establishing rights of the workers.
Chaired by vice-president of the party Mohammad Suraj Mian, central leaders Kamal Uddin Patwary, Mainur Rahman, Syed Balaet Hossain Belal, Mosharraf Hossain Montu and others spoke at the rally.
