Chief coordinator of Ganosamhati Andolan Zonayed Saki on Thursday said that the next general election would be held on the basis of a new political settlement for establishing democratic rule in the country after preparing a democratic constitution after implementing reforms.
He was speaking at a mass dialogue on political situations at Chhoyfullakandi union under Bancharampur upazila in Brahmanbaria.
The dialogue was organised by the local Ganosamhati Andoan unit. Saki called on the people to cast their votes in favour of the honest candidates for democratic transition of the country after the fall of the fascist Sheikh Hasina government of August 5.
Chaired by freedom fighter and local Ganosamhati leader Mohammad Shahjahan, central leader of the party Bachchu Bhuiyan, student leader Soukit Arif and others spoke at the mass dialogue.
