Jatiya Party on Wednesday demanded early general elections in an inclusive and credible manner for the country鈥檚 democratic transition.
Party chairman Ghulam Muhammad Quader while exchanging views with the new Narsingdi district committee leaders at his Banani office said that the interim government headed by professor Muhammad Yunus had failed to run the country properly in the past five months.
They had failed to control law and order and the abnormal price hikes, GM Quader said.
In this situation there was no alternative to giving early inclusive and credible general elections, GM Quader mentioned.
Secretary general of the party Mujibul Haque Chunnu, central leader Liakat Hossain Khoka, among others, spoke at the programme.
