The police on Friday night arrested former president of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League鈥檚 Satkhira district unit, Tanvir Hussain Suzan, and its former general secretary, Ehsanul Habib Ayon in connection with a murder case.
Satkhira Sadar police station officer-in-charge, Shaminul Islam, said that they were detained in connection with a murder case of Hafizur from Jhaudanga Bazar in the district.聽
They were arrested at Bokchora Mor on the Bypass Road in Satkhira town.聽
Tanvir had also served as vice-chairman of Satkhira Sadar upazila parishad while Ehsanul held the position of general secretary of the Satkhira district unit of Bangladesh Awami Swechchhasebak League.
