
The Dhaka Stock Exchange has awarded fix certification to six brokerage houses to help them offer value-added services to their investors.
Before the brokerage firms achieving the award, 16 other brokerage houses received fix certification, while 12 of them started trading through their own order management system.
Mominul Islam, chairman of the DSE, at a programme on Wednesday handed over the award to Midway Securities Limited, Uniroyal Securities Limited, Prime Bank Securities Limited, International Securities Company Limited, CAL Securities Limited and Doha Securities Limited.
DSE managing director (acting) Sattique Ahmed Shah, among others, was present in the award giving ceremony.
The Dhaka bourse took an initiative to launch application programming interface based broker hosted order management system in 2020.聽
A total of 59 brokerage houses applied to the DSE to transact through its own聽 OMS with API connectivity to Nasdaq matching engine.聽
Mominul said that a BHOMS enabled a broker to provide value-added services to its investors at their own convenience.
