Three Bangladeshi tennis players, Kabbo Gayan, Akash Hossain, and Jannat Howlader, advanced to the quarter-finals of the second competition of the ITF Asia Under-14 Development Championship 2025 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Monday.
Kabbo beat Bayrmagnai of Mongolia by 6-0, 6-0 sets, while Akash defeated Sivapalan by 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 sets in the round of 16 of the boys singles event, while Jannat beat Sherchan Salvi of Nepal by 6-1, 6-3 sets in the girls鈥� singles event of the round of 16.聽
Meanwhile, another Bangladeshi campaigner, Humayra Haider Zara, made her exit from the competition after conceding a 4-6, 4-6 set defeat to Aissata Adama of Mongolia in the girls鈥� singles event.聽
