Theatre troupe Vivekananda Theatre staged four shows of its 23rd production titled ‘Uttaran’ at the Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Friday and Saturday.
‘Uttaran’ revolves around a community of thieves who stop thievery when they receive social support.
The play, written by Apurba Kumar Kundu, has been directed by Subhasish Datta Tanmoy.
Santanu Saha, Subhasish Datta Tanmoy, Tarak Nath Das, Amitav Razib, AR Kibria Haque, Sumit Chandra Das, Ratan Mohan Biswas, Mahmudul Hasan, Shubham Mondal and Niloy Huq have played different characters in the play.
Fazle Rabbee Sukarnoo designed the stage, Hamidur Rahman Pappu designed the music, Subhasish Datta Tanmoy designed the costume, Kamrul Hasan Ferdous was in charge of choreography and Palash Hendry Sen designed stage lighting.
