The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted dry weather with partly cloudy sky almost all over the country for Thursday.

Bangladesh is set to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr on Thursday.


Met Office assistant meteorologist Kazi Zebunnesa told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ· Wednesday afternoon that dry weather with partly cloudy sky would remain all over the country excepting Rangpur, Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar districts on Eid day.

‘The temperature would remain unchanged on the Eid day across the country and it can be varied slightly at places,’ she said.

There is no forecast of rain for Thursday, she said.

Country’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 39.0C at Rangamati and minimum temperature was 18.7C at Nikli in Kishoreganj, she added.

A mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Chuadanga, Faridpur, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Bandarban, Rangamati and Patuakhali and it may abate as places, read a Met Office bulletin, issued on Wednesday.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.
