The Indian Border Security Force detained a 23-year-old Bangladeshi national at Dolapara border in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat early Monday.
The detained is Aminur Rahman, son of Zaved Ali of Borokhata union of the upazila.聽
Borokhata union parishad member Hafizul Islam claimed that the youth was detained while crossing the border with drugs.
However, the family of the youth said that after having dinner Sunday evening, Aminur was in sleep. At night, some people called and took him away, and he did not return home.
Later, they came to know from local people that the BSF detained Aminur.
Despite several attempts, lieutenant colonel Sheikh Mohammad Musahid Masum, captain of Tista Battalion-2 of Bangladesh Border Guard-61, could not be reached over the phone for comment.
