Title aspirants Mohammedan Sporting Club managed a hard-fought 6-5 win over Usha Krira Chakra in their Super-six phase tie of the Premier Division Hockey League at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday.

After the day鈥檚 results, Mohammedan had 35 points from 14 games and were closely followed by Abahani Limited, who were one point behind.


Usha KC, who have also played 14 games, have 28 points, while defending champions Mariner Youngs Club have 31 points from 13 games, with two more games to play at the Super-Six stage.

In their final game of the league, Mohammedan and Abahani will play each other at the same venue on April 19.

On Tuesday, Faizal Bin Sarri (first, 13th, 16th) scored a hat-trick, while Al Nahyan Shuvo (third), Fitfi Bin Sarr (32nd), and Din Islam Emon (48th) scored once each for Mohammedan.

Ishrat Iktidar (14th, 34th), Mohammad Shariq (44th), Raju Ahme Tapu (47th), and Arshad (49th) pulled five goals back for Usha KC.
