Politicians, lawyers and journalists on Tuesday at a commemoration meeting in Dhaka urged all to work for fulfilling the unfinished works of Zafrullah Chowdhury.
The Bangladesh Labour Party organised the commemoration meeting in the Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad seminar hall to mark the first anniversary of death of freedom fighter and founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Zafrullah Chowdhury, who died on April 11, 2023 at the age of 82.

Mahmudur Rahman Manna said that Zafrullah wanted to establish democratic rule in the country and also wanted to establish voting rights of the people.
But his dreams still remain unfulfilled, Manna said.
Manna called on all opposition political parties to wage movements against the Awami League government to compel it to resign from power.
Revolutionary Workers Party general secretary Saiful Huq said that in the present political situation of the country an outspoken personality like Zafrullah was needed to restore democratic rule in the country.
