Two people were killed in a head-on collision between an ambulance and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw on the Pabna-Rajshahi highway at Singa in Pabna on Saturday night.
The deceased, auto-rickshaw driver Dukhu Mia, 35, and Ramzan Ali, 50, were residents of Salgaria Merril Bypass area in the district.
Pabna police station officer-in-charge Roshan Ali said that a Rajshahi-bound ambulance and an auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction collided head-on on Saturday night, leaving two people seriously injured.
People of the area immediately took them to Pabna General Hospital, where the doctor declared them dead.
The OC said that two bodies were handed over to their families after post-mortem examination.
