The department of mathematics of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology organised an international workshop titled ‘Dynamical Systems and Applications’ on CUET campus on Sunday.
CUET vice-chancellor professor Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was the chief guest of the workshop, said a press release.
Pro-VC of the university professor Jamal Uddin Ahmed, dean of the faculty of science and technology professor AH Rashedul Hossain and professor of mathematics at Jadavpur University of India Priti Kumar Roy and Deepak Kumar Kesh, were special guest.
The event was presided over by professor Mst Tahmina Akter, head of mathematics department, CUET. Assistant professor of mathematics Salim Hossain moderated the programme where moderator of CUET Math Club professor Ujjal Kumar Dev gave a welcome speech.
Three research papers were presented in the technical session of the workshop. The main speakerS of the session were professor of mathematics of Jadavpur University of India Priti Kumar Roy, Khulna University mathematics discipline professor Haider Ali Biswas and professor of mathematics department of Jahangirnagar University Muhammad Humayun Kabir.
