
SAARC Agriculture Centre on Wednesday arranged the concluding session of the ‘Training and Validation Workshop on Modules of Climate Smart Agriculture Technologies in South Asia’.
Executive chairman, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council Sheikh Mohammad Bokhtiar was present as chief guest at the closing ceremony at Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute Kazi Badrudduza Auditorium in Gazipur.
BARI director general Debasish Sarker, director (training and communication) Md Tariqul Islam; director SAARC Agriculture Centre Md. Harunur Rashid and research coordinator, IFPRI-SAR Mamata Pradhan gave their speech on the occasion.
Later, certificates awarding and gifts distribution ceremony was held.
At this time, BARI’s director (support and services) Ferdouse Islam; director (planning and evaluation) Md Abu Hena Sorwar Jahan; director (director general›s office) MM Kamruzzaman; director (horticulture research centre) Munshi Rashid Ahmad; director (tuber crops research center) Md Matiar Rahman and senior scientists of various division/center were present there also.
Chief scientific officer (on-farm division) Md Mazharul Anwar gave vote of thanks in this programme. The programme was presented by senior scientific officer (on-farm division) Taslima Zahan.
Later, the delegation visited various laboratories and research field in BARI and expressed their satisfaction by seeing the activities of advancement and achievements of Institute. The workshop started on Monday at BRAC CDM, Gazipur.
