Bangladesh University Grants Commission member Professor Md Sazzad Hossain urged the country鈥檚 universities to lead new innovations through research for the realisation of the goal of building a smart Bangladesh by 2041.
He made this suggestion while speaking as the chief guest at a workshop organised to ensure the updating of public university information as part of the implementation of e-Governance and Innovation Action Plan 2023-24.
Research Support and Publication Department Director of UGC Md Fakhrul Islam presided over the programme and secretary of the commission Ferdous Zaman gave a speech as a special guest.
Md Shaheen Siraj, additional director of Research Support and Publication Department, expressed thanks on the occasion.
Dwijendra Chandra Das, senior assistant director and Focal Point of Innovation Committee, IMCT Department of UGC, conducted the programme and focal points of innovation committees and concerned officials of 46 public universities participated in the workshop.
