Bangladesh will look to extend their lead over Zimbabwe in their five-match Twenty20 International series as the Tigers play the second game of the series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today.

The match will begin at 6:00pm with T-Sports and GTV televising the tie live.

Bangladesh took a 1-0 lead in the series following an eight-wicket win in the first game of the series as the Tigers comfortably chased down 125 with 28 balls to spare.

Their bowling unit started off well in the first match, picking up seven wickets within the eighth over, but then allowed the Zimbabwean tail to wag and end up reaching 124.

That will be Bangladesh鈥檚 focus in the second game, as they would want a bowling display that ensures complete dominance, as that would be the ideal preparation for them ahead of the World Cup.

What the Tigers will also want in the second game is some runs from the bat of Liton Das, who has been struggling for form this year, as he only made one in the first game.

They will also welcome skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto finding a rhythm as the left-handed batter took聽 24 balls to score 21 in the first game.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe will look to fight back strongly after a thoroughly disappointing display across all three departments, as wins in this series might serve as some consolation for them after they failed to qualify for the T20 World Cup.

Bangladesh are unlikely to bring in any changes, as Shanto said ahead of the series that they were not looking to experiment much despite this series serving as their preparation for the looming World Cup. If they decide to test out their bench, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Afif Hossain might be in line to play the game.
